Invitations Missed

Bloggers spend time and effort to get their blogs online only to be lost in the sea of blogs seeking for attention. In posting their blogs, bloggers send out invitation to each one of us to share in their life, their thoughts, their dreams and other bits and pieces of themselves. A wonderful invitation but an invitation often unclaimed. In not claiming these invitations, we let fly the opportunity to partake in an important banquet in life. The chance for communion with one unique soul is lost.

  1. Perfectly said.... Scary true at that.

  2. Beautifully put...true in real life, also.

  3. I so agree with this. I have about 30 close readers of mine. We call it the community. I have been blogging since November of 2007. So many bloggers are all about numbers.

I did join EC the other day with reluctance. I have to say I have really found some good blogs out there. At first I thought it was just a scam to get you to "drop" and run. It has been fun and I feel like I am seeing a entire part of the blog-o-sphere that I did not know existed.

With all that being said, I do feel the same way. Why spend all this time of a post that will be forgotten when it reaches page 2 of the blog itself. Build a community. It is fun.

  4. I love this post. You are 100% spot on.
